New Klaviyo's Billing

I still hear from people that they didn’t get the information that Klaviyo made some big changes in their billing.

And the changes are HUGE!

Everything you need to know:

Klaviyo now charges for ALL active profiles, not just those you email. Here's what's happening:

• You're billed for every active profile, even if never emailed

• Unsuppressing a profile locks it in for 90 days of billing

• Plans auto-upgrade if you exceed limits (no warning)

• Auto-downgrade exists but must be manually enabled

To control costs:

• Suppress unengaged profiles before your billing date

• Target: never-engaged users, bounce risks, and 72+ week inactive accounts

• Be selective about who you unsuppress, especially before sales events

• Monitor your active profile count closely

This billing change could significantly increase costs without sending a single extra email.
